Yes. There are no ads and no sharing. We do not sell your data or use your writing to train AI models.

Does anyone read what I write in Purposely?

No. We do not monitor your reflections, so no one will see what you write or respond to it. If you’re going through something that needs attention, reach out to someone you trust or a qualified professional.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account and all of your data from inside the app. Deletion is permanent.

Is Purposely available on Android?

Is Purposely a substitute for therapy or medical care?

No. Purposely is a self-guided tool for personal reflection and goal-setting. It does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and using it does not create a therapist-client or any other professional relationship. If you have questions about your mental or physical health, talk with a qualified health provider.

What should I do if I'm in crisis?

Please don’t use Purposely. Call your local emergency number right away. Purposely is not able to respond to emergencies or provide crisis support.
